I'm not a turkey....

And the winner is Austen- Darth Vader
Second place was Blaine- Santa

The students did a awesome job on their turkey projects! 

 In science we studied water. The kids help me with a sink or float lab!

 On Thursday we got to eat lunch in our classroom!
 'Kool' spelling words. The students practiced writing their spelling words in Kool-Aid!
We had a speaker from Peoples Bank come in and talk to us about money!
 
We have been studying coins this week. The students worked on sorting their coins. Bax and Ethan played a penny toss game. You can guess the winner!

Next week we will enjoy Thanksgiving activities, no homework!

Contractions, Soil, Prepositions

In math we studied even and odd numbers. The students were given a number and had to create a house using the right amount.


 Contraction Surgery- My students turned into doctors and cut a part two words and made it into one.


 The students were paired up. One as Odd Todd and the other Even Steven. They rolled the dice if they rolled an even and they were Steven they got to move up. First one to the top won!
Science: Investigating soil- The student rotated to different five stations and investigated them. 

 This was by far the class favorite of the week. We played musical chairs with patterns. The students would create a pattern, when the music came on the students would walk around, when the music stopped they had to find a seat and add to that pattern.

Next week: Our story is Sea Animals (click to download)  Our sight words are: cold, water, far, their, little, live, blue, where. Math we will be introducing money. AND the winner is.......

Emma, is our winner! Her illustration is colorful and she used good sentence structure!

I am so proud of my students, they exceeded their AR goals! The AR point winners are Bax (11.4), Isiarius (7.9) and Makenzie! (7.7)
Our A.R. party- The students got to play on the jumpers!


We used our prediction skills from reading to predict things about a pumpkin. Jessalynn predicted that the pumpkin would have 150 seeds and it had 175. Way to go Jessalynn!
